The Most Difficult Job

A life of a human lying, maybe unconscious, in an operating room is a doctor’s chance to prove his license. Nurses come to assist and bear the burden, as well. Most likely, it is also a pain to loose a customer if you’ve been working in customer service offices. What is heftier than turning the captain’s wheel as he navigates his passengers safely, or pilots who prefer to stay in a close deck rather concentrating aligning the airplane on the runway.

Everyday we see people hurrying to the busy streets and from time to time scrutinizing if they will arrive late at work. They wear the uniform the job they carry. But what is the most difficult job? Is it a woman who carries a life inside her womb and someday becomes a mother? Or is it the President who gets most of the criticisms everyday? Why do we have to choose jobs or if not liking it, like butterflies sharpening senses to smell the most fragrant flower around. Will it sustain your goal? When will people be ever satisfied?

I think the most difficult job is not being someone when many are around you. It is simply being what you really want. It is so difficult to procure being who you really want to be. Facing the fact that you get to earn the highest degree or belong in the largest company, waking up every morning and thinking what you really want for your life is the most difficult job. Have you asked yourself, “Hey you, what do you really want?” What to eat for breakfast, when to wear new clothes, who to trust as a friend, or where to park your newly polished red Honda Civic – you may know what you want for now but the most difficult part is what you would want after that. If I get to buy an organizer, what a terrible muff it will bring me, I usually change what I want because of the idea that there is always an option to choose. Is it tiring that everyday when you go to sleep at night, you wouldn’t know what yourself would want for tomorrow? If choosing the right job is plainly playing tag of war, I would rather do my best to pull the rope so not to fall on the wrong line of life.

Mythology of Friendship

If I have to talk-about-it-over-chardonnay, friendship can really contribute vast effect upon who can read and understand this. I really don't know exactly what to write here 'cause I'm still wrapped with chasm of misery-my friend, who is one my "teampartners", can't make it to regularization at work. I could still remember the first day we shared our names and how we tried to hide our age when we introduce ourselves infront of the other 19 smiling, yet a little bit thawed faces, of speaking next. Some of us were thrilled to share adventurous experiences, some even odd. Also, there was crying and a lot were echoes of laughter!
Life is such an interminable wail of grief. You see people come and go, however, not sure if the one who stayed is true. Friends can become your estate or adversary, but one reason to keep it is survival. Some people live for the responsibility of staying at work, taking care of expenses for the family, and mere survival. But should we, however, live for the joy it gives us? We know who we really are if we are alone and should friends stay out off their limits? I thought they are the ones you can share everything. And listens. It's all about love! We live because there is hope that everyday we will feel we are loved and important. Friends need this and even couples fight for it, carried also within your colleagues at work. When we share it, it brings two soul in one body-it can never asunder.
Excerpt from the movie The Notebook, a letter from Noah to Allie: "The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give you forever." -If you have seen the movie, Noah and Allie were the best of friends and also enemies. But enemies can be friends. Love is shallow if you never found the meaning of friendship. The myth here is when you understand what friendship is but never felt what it is. If you happen to read this, think of the many things you never said how special your friend is to you. This may be the right time to express and really say that you cared. After all, death comes eventually so better say it now before you realize you can never be heard again.

Whattatrip?

I was surfaced with sands and loud smiles - at last, time to unwind! These are few of my so-called "teampartners",with whom I render my little knowledge of billing( I doubt if this is allowed to say,though...) from our day-to-day duty(doodee)-as you pronunce it. We work in one of the difficult jobs around the world, contact center. I consider them as a team because we work as one and partners,as I strongly agree, because after our floor managers shout LOGOUT!---we raced ourselves vanishing like kids looking for refreshments(e.g. CNT Lechon, Ayala Foodcourt, SM Foodcourt, Jollibee, and sharingla which can be found at the back of Convergys Cebu office).

This is our first team trip with Team Leader Papot arrayed with all-black costume--kids,pls don't wear black in the beach! This day as I still remember like smelling a fresh paint was full of fun and food. I just don't know what's with this team...glutton with food, lustful with movies, prideful of daily sales, sloth with absences. If you happen to see folks in Cebu wearin' those January Sto. NiƱo costumes, well that's not us! We wear blue...the company which comprise of many head-eaters(managers)--you just don't know how it drains our head of filling the basket with sales as part of our scorecard. If you see your name red it means you fail...yellow for almost passing, you pass when you are green. Blue when you are outstanding!

But hey, you can't see here that we are drained! We are just filled enough with unfathomable care by our TL. Again, I was surfaced with sands and yet showered with awe of nature to what it can bring like peace and butterflies to your senses. No fears, doubts and deeply embracing pumba's hakunamatata. We look forward to seeing ourselves relaxing again but this time hoping it'll be inside a cave. Ha!
